Not sure feminists would accept that men only can be top good or top evil - that is just complete patriarchy. The Buddhas description that Buddhas could not arise, in his spacetime, as female, makes sense because women were second class citizens.. They did not have the position to teach all sentient beings - at least half would have had the impulse to rebell. Of course, this is a delineation of a delineation. It's just unlikely, but so long as women have access to figure out anicca, dukkha, and anatta, and can teach, sure. Imo the message was more time sensitive than generally considered.
Just really the last paragraph. Actually, I would say not '0', but '[ ]' - an empty set for nibbana, if being pedantic. Atman however, is an attempt to build a '1' into things. That thing, existing independent of individual experience. nibbana does not exist, it does not not exist, it is not conditioned, by any thing.
A parent should form the kids to do what is beneficial for them. Does your husband think a lot of TV is beneficial for them? How? There is what people want and what people need - kids will always choose what they want over what they need, and a parent should encourage what then need - kindness, education, safety. Maybe devise a way to use the tablet in an educational way. My kid watches numberblocks, alphablocks, so we usually don't complain if he does 3 hours of spelling in front of a screen. But 3 hours of cartoons is a different thing! Try and adjust the behaviour to be more useful maybe!
