Mar 24 at 8:51 comment added Pycm Just say, how so? Ask them reasoning. Defeat them with arguments with blindly believing what bible say.

Sep 23, 2020 at 8:45 comment added M H The people as described in the question seem, according to the question, neither sincerely friendly nor actually very Christian, so, maybe such exchanges with them are inappropriate & nonuseful: so, at most, maybe simply assert a disclaimer, mildly, so as to notseem to acquiece to their derogatory assertions, before simply discontinuing the subject

removed self-promo and 'please do not share this' as the question hit HNQ and it's a public Q&A site obviously

Sep 9, 2020 at 9:23 comment added little star @xLeitix just dont copy and paste my wording then. Just assume it's a sharing of religion study then
Sep 9, 2020 at 8:53 comment added xLeitix @littlestar You posted your question on a public forum, and on one that promotes questions through the Hot Questions list on the side. As much as I understand your desire to discuss this question only along like-minded individuals, this isn't the right place for this, and you will have to live with outsiders reading it.

Sep 8, 2020 at 18:49 comment added Tom J Nowell Somehow I don't think these friends are interested in a theological debate, they're being plain rude and disrespectful, be it Buddha is Satan or any other prophet or figure of importance. I'd be curious to see the answer to this question if asked on the interpersonal relations stack
Sep 8, 2020 at 17:29 comment added Michael Hardy When I read C.S. Lewis's statement that Hinduism is better than Buddhism I wondered how that would go over with today's public. But that's pretty tame compared to this.
Sep 8, 2020 at 7:25 comment added little star @Kramii Will take note of it.
Sep 8, 2020 at 7:20 comment added Kramii May I urge you not to begin your response to a Christian with the phrase, "Oh, my God"? Many Christians will find this offensive.

Sep 7, 2020 at 1:09 comment added Araucaria - Not here any more. My response to all of those would be, "Maybe, but Jesus loves him". (Because that's what a Christian must believe).
Sep 7, 2020 at 0:59 comment added Araucaria - Not here any more. The 'Good Samaritan' was neither Jewish nor Christian, but according to the Christian bible, Jesus held him up as an example of the kind of person who would go to heaven.
Sep 6, 2020 at 19:50 comment added Mark Morgan Lloyd I have known somebody- actually a pastor of the dancing-in-the-aisles variety- who was happy to describe Wiccans he'd met as "basically good people". I'm sure he would have described at least some Buddhists in similar terms, so be assured that not all Christians are like your so-called friends. All I can suggest is that you tolerate their abuse with dignity and set a good example by your behaviour... and that you're somewhat more careful regarding the company you keep.
Sep 6, 2020 at 18:04 comment added ron rothman All of your proposed responses are disingenuous, so I would avoid them. Instead, how about you just ignore these friends and don't engage? (Immediately change the subject to something completely unrelated.) There is little to be gained by arguing or engaging with dogmatic Christians.
